The Drum Corps International Competition held on Aug. 4, 2014, at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon signaled the conclusion of the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival. The final of 23 events over two and a half weeks, enjoyed by nearly 700,000 people, saw Canton’s own Bluecoats finish a very close second to The Cadets of Allentown, PA.
The show’s format this year was new as it became part of the Tour of Champions event series that consisted of exciting live entertainment featuring seven of the top world-class corps, just days before the world championships. Spectators had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the drum corps experience with exclusive fan-member interaction, as well as pre-show and intermission entertainment.
The final results were as follows:

6th place: 87.950 – Boston Crusaders, Boston, MA
5th place: 90.850 – Phantom Regiment, Rockford, IL
4th place: 94.100 – Carolina Crown, Ft. Mill, SC
3rd place: 94.750 – Santa Clara Vanguard, Santa Clara, CA
2nd place: 95.300 – Bluecoats, Canton, OH
1st place: 96.100 – The Cadets, Allentown, PA
