Burnoff Winners Announced
Canton, OH—August 2, 2007—Randy
Reed, chairman of Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Pro
Football Hall of Fame Festival National Ribs Burnoff Committee,
has announced the following winners of the 2007 National Ribs
Burnoff competition:
1st
Place:

People's Choice Award –
Old Carolina Barbecue Co., Canton,
OH
There were 16 rib vendors in the
Ribs Burnoff competition. Top prize winners were selected by 80
judges on Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition to great food, the
event features national country music star Darryl Worley on
Friday night. Free, standing room only area is available on the
track in front of the stage, or reserved grandstand seats can be
purchased for $8 at the Chamber office at 222 Market Ave. North
in downtown Canton, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and at the event
beginning at 4 p.m.
Family activities include an
expanded children’s entertainment area with face painting,
caricaturists, balloon twisters, Fantasy Football Zone of
interactive inflatables, master sand sculptor, Lowe’s Kids
Clinic, Honda Ultimate Garage, U.S. Army Special Forces
interactive unit, and Coors Light Silver Bullet Train Tour.
Admission to the National Ribs
Burnoff is free. On-site parking at the fairgrounds is free
until 4 p.m., when a fee of $5 per vehicle will be charged.
