Drum Corps International Competition FAQ

New Location: Infocision Stadium - Summa Field at University of Akron (375 Exchange Street, Akron, Ohio 44304)

What time should I arrive?  The gates open at 6:00 p.m. and we recommend that you arrive early enough to be in your seats prior to the step off of the first corps at 7:00 p.m.  Traffic will be heavy, so plan accordingly.

Where should I park?   The University is opening three parking decks for guests ($5 per vehicle), all within one block of the stadium:
*Most guests (getting off route 8) will use Parking Decks 36 and 39 on Exchange Street closest to the Box Office and Will Call.
*Parking Deck Lot 1 at the corner of Spicer and Carroll Streets will be open for guests who already have their tickets.
*ADA-accessible parking will be available at Exchange and S Union Street (the main entrance to the home-side of the stadium).

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?  Yes, but pleae note that ticket prices do increase the date of the show -- so buy pre-sale and save a bit!

Can I get out of my seat during the show?  Drum Corps etiquette requires that spectators not move in or out of the stands during a corps performance.  You can enter or leave between performances or during intermission.

What happens if it rains?  Due to the strict travel schedule of the corps, no rain date or refund is available.  However, the corps respect the importance of giving their fans a show and will do everything possible to reach that goal, even if has to be a stand-still performance.
