Who can participate? Anyone 18 or older can participate in either the professional or non-professional category.
What constitutes a “professional” photographer? For the purpose of this contest, a professional photographer is defined as "a person who earns more than one-fourth of their income from photography." Any person who has a press pass, field pass, or all access pass must enter under the "Professional" category.
How do I submit a photo to the photo contest? All entries must be uploaded online, taken or mailed to the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce at 222 Market Ave. N., Canton, OH 44702. The deadline to submit photos is Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
What is the entry fee? The entry fee is $10 for up to ten (10) photos.
How many photos can I submit? You can submit as many photos as you like. If you want to submit more than ten, an additional $10 is required for each ten (10) photos submitted.
How do I pay the entry fee? You can pay by check made payable to CRCC or by cash or credit card.
What size photograph should be entered? Photographs can be as small as 5 x 7 and no larger than 8 ½ x 11.
How will my photograph be judged? There are several photographic expert judges. Judging consists of an evaluation in each event category in the professional and non-professional divisions. The judges may select a first place winner in each category for each division (professional and non-professional) from among all eligible entries, based on the following criteria: (1) photographic quality including focus, lighting, color and sharpness; (2) creativity; and (3) the ability to capture the spirit of the Enshrinement Festival. The Best of Show award is selected from all photographs entered in the contest, without regard to either professional or non-professional category.
When will the winners be announced? Winners will be chosen in October, and each winner will be notified by mail soon thereafter.
What are the prizes? The first-place winner in each category will receive a $100 cash prize. One “Best of Show” winner will receive $250.
Will my photography be seen on-line? Selected entries and the entrants' names may be published on the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Web site.
Is image manipulation allowed in the Photo Contest? We want to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival through your eyes, not the tools of Photoshop. We trust our users to submit unaltered files. We cannot research every photo entry. However, if a photo is chosen, it will be scrutinized for possible alterations. Minor burning, dodging, and color correction are acceptable. Hand tinting is acceptable, as is cropping. Fish-eye lenses are acceptable. Any changes to an original photograph not itemized here are unacceptable and will render the photograph ineligible for a prize.
