How are contestants judged?  It's important to note that this is not a beauty pageant.  Contestants are judged on the basis of personality, poise, communication skills, academic achievement, and service to community. Prior to pageant night, contestants have a face-to-face interview with a panel of impartial judges.  At the pageant, all contestants participate in a production number and are featured in evening gowns.  The field is then narrowed to 25 semi-finalists, all of whom express their platform issue in not more than 30 seconds.  The judges then select the 15 finalists, each of whom draw a random question to answer, allowing the judges to see how their poise and personality shines through. Judges then submit their final vote for a Queen and  five (5) Royal Ambassadors.  We can say without reservation that all contestants are true winners and outstanding examples of the quality of today's younger generation!
