Who doesn’t love a parade! On Sunday, July 29th, thousands of citizens are expected to enjoy an afternoon in the heart of downtown Canton with family and friends as a wide array of community youth groups, marching bands, antique vehicles, specialty units and a giant helium balloon participate in this spirit-filled community parade. Units begin on Market Avenue at 11th Street North, and travel south through the heart of the revitalized downtown.
Candy Wallace, 2012 Enshrinement Festival General Chairman, will serve as the parade Grand Marshall. Approximately 125 diverse units are expected to participate, and spectators will have the opportunity to vote for The Community Choice Award; last year's winner was Canton Elite Silver Stars!
Thanks to all the parade participants and to the spectators who watched it in 2011. It was indeed a "One of a Kind Celebration!" Please check back periodically for updated 2012 information!
